ConvaTec, a global leader in
wound care, had developed a hydrocolloid/alginate dressing in a “spiral” form. Once it is placed in the wound cavity, it aggressively absorbs exudate and increases to triple its original size. The dressing can be used either intact or in desired amounts in order to fill the wound cavity. Our client asked us to develop a detail aid that would physically get across the unique features of the dressing.

We created a dimensional wound cavity in the detail aid that allowed us to position a clear pouch containing a hydrated dressing. This gave the clinician the opportunity to compare the “before” and “after” dressing.
